ALEXANDRA
CROFT
Alexandra Croft has been actively implicated in professional boxing for more than ten years now.
Originally from Saguenay, she was a privileged witness to Stéphane Ouellet’s and Éric Lucas’ start in professional boxing back in 1991. Very early on she discovered this was a passionate sport and the athletes were exceptional.
Without missing a single professional boxing program in the Quebec region since 1991, she gradually became familiar with the field, its innumerable subtitles; all the while she became more and more active in the organization of events.
In 2001 Quebec heavy weight Jean François Bergeron was looking for an ally who would allow him to relaunch his career, after having been forced into an inactive period due to an injury. Alexandra Croft proposed to be his manager; she had already established close contacts not only with professional boxing organizations in Quebec, but equally in the United States. This occasion would give him a second chance at a career that would allow him to participate in the popular Series « Heavyweight Explosion » promoted by Cedrick Kushner.
During this time she equally took under her wing the heavy weight from Shawinigan, Patrice l’Heureux. She drove him right to the Canadian Heavyweight title, a feat that no Quebecor had accomplished since 1962. Alexandra is still the manager of this giant from
Mauricie.
Beginning in 2004 she joined the new professional boxing organization« GYM INC », in Quebec, under the title of Vice President of communications and sales. Among her mandates she represents the organization at a variety of international conventions and acts as co-host during GYM’s televised events on ATV and VOX. Since 2006 she has become an « Associate » at GYM alongside Yvon Michel, Dino Marchitello, Bernard Barré and more recently Otis Grant. In regards to the organization of events and in the direction of high level boxers, this company has been extremely productive. Her sense of business, her experience and know how are certain assets to this young enterprise. Yvon MichelPrésident- Bio -
