BARRÉ
Bernard Barré possesses a diploma in Human Science from CEGEP in Bourchemin. He has also received his diploma in Sport Science level V from the national program of certified trainers; he was the first Quebecor all sport to have obtained this level. Amateur boxer from 1977 until 1981, founder of the St-Hyacinthe Amateur Boxing Club in 1979, trainer of the team captain of Québec from 1985 until 1988 and assistant trainer of the Canadian team from 1986 until 1988, he is also the stage director of Boxe Quebec trainers since
1984.
He was employed with the Quebec federation of olympic boxing from 1985 until 1998 under the title of technical coordinator, program development director, technical director and finally, assistant general
director.
He was technical Director of Interbox, professional boxing management company from 1998 until 2004; he has also been a television analyst since
1986. His coverage of the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Sydney, Athens
and Beijing are events of which he is most proud. |
