Joachim Alcine and Jean Pascal featured in world premier
of Internet-streamed public training
Montreal, November 19th, 2007 – A borderless world of boxing will come one step closer to reality in Montreal this week as a local car dealership hosts the first-ever public training broadcast live over the Internet. Rive-Sud Chrysler will play host to the unique happening showcasing the talents of internationally-recognized stars of the ring, WBA super-welterweight champion Joachim Alcine and NABF, NABA, and NABO, champion Jean Pascal on Wednesday, November 21st between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The collaborative brainchild of GYM president, Yvon Michel, and dealership director, Pierre Major, the Internet broadcast will be streamed in real-time complete with colour commentary and a format reminiscent of a full-out televised sportscast. It marks the latest in a series of innovative initiatives undertaken in collaboration with top athletes like Montreal Canadiens’ Guillaume Latendresse by the South Shore car dealer. This singular event will take place a scant fifteen days prior to Alcine’s highly-anticipated first title defense since rending the WBA title from Travis Simms in July.
Fans seeking additional information are invited to visit www.rivesudchrysler.com and click into “The Zone” section of the site where they will be able to get full online access to all of the excitement of the training. Those lucky aficionados who wish to attend the training, are asked to present themselves at Rive-Sud Chrysler, 9400 Taschereau Boulevard (corner Matte) in Brossard this Wednesday at 5 p.m.
