Kevin Bizier is the pride of the Quebec City area. After a short try in a karate dojo, he dominated the Quebec and Canadian scene as soon as he put boxing gloves on.

Born in a boxing family, Kevin followed his two older brothers and his sister to the boxing club where he learned his craft, first under the wing of former world contender Fernand Marcotte, then from his father.

After winning Quebec golden gloves, Canadian championships and international tournaments as a youngster, the Saint-Émile warrior faced the best boxers in the world as a senior.

He gave Argentinean slugger Marcos Maidana a count in the 2004 Americas Olympic qualifications and exchanged violent blows with the 2012 London Olympic gold medalist, Kazakh Serik Sapiyev, at the 2007 World championship.

His best success as an amateur was a win against 2008 Beijing Olympic games gold medalist, Felix Diaz, at the Copa Romana international tournament, in Dominican republic, in 2006.

After evaluating some offers, Bizier chose to sign a contract with Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) and made his pro debut in 2008.

Two belts later, plus a major win against former unified lightweight world champion Nate Campbell, live on ESPN, the athlete now trained by Marc Ramsay made his way in the competitive universe of professional boxing.

Known to have the best front hand in Quebec, Kevin Bizier will have his chance to fight for major titles in the welterweight division soon enough.
